I was born and raised on a small grain farm in Pisek, ND and was educated at Pisek Public School. During my youth I attended Farmers Union Camp at Lake Tobiason and have great memories of my time spent there.
I am married to my wife Larissa Feldner of Munich, I have two stepchildren, Megan and Benjamin. We also have two dogs, Daisy and Otis.
I attended North Dakota State College of Science and obtained my Associates Degree in John Deere Ag Tech.
After graduation from NDSCS I worked for RDO equipment and in 1994 I had the opportunity to go to the former Soviet Union territory of Turkmenistan to help unload and set up combines and cotton pickers for the country.
After I completed my contract, I returned to North Dakota and attended North Dakota State University where I completed my studies in Agriculture Systems Management and Business. After graduation I went on to work for the CaseIH corporation and held several various titles during my 17-year career with them.
I have always been involved and engaged in agriculture in some way shape or form and as an insurance agent of six years now my primary focus is on our farm and crop insurance customers. I also am a car buff, so I like visiting and helping customers with their classic cars and everyday drivers.
In my spare time I enjoy hunting and fishing, working on cars and taking trips with my wife Larissa.
